JULY 2026 SPORTS WAGERING DATA (Excel download)
(Baltimore) — Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $8,452,763 in contributions to the state during July, the first month of the Fiscal Year 2027. The total was a 16.6% increase from the $7,252,318 figure in July 2025.
Sports bettors in Maryland wagered $496,407,335 during July 2026 and won back $440,872,739 in prizes. Sportsbook operators held 11.2% of the handle.
Of the $8.4 million in state contributions from July, nearly $6.4 million went to public education programs supported by the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund. Since the inception of the sports wagering program, $283,443,468 has gone to the Blueprint Fund.
Retail sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund. Mobile sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund and 5% to the state’s General Fund. In July, the combined retail and mobile contribution to the Blueprint Fund was $6,355,264, while an additional $2,097,500 in mobile proceeds went to the General Fund.
