The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission approved proposed operational and licensing regulations for sports wagering during a meeting held via teleconference on July 15, 2021. These all-new proposed regulations will be submitted as both emergency and permanent regulations. To view the proposed regulations, click here.
The proposed regulations were approved by the Maryland General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review (AELR) on August 5, 2021 and were published in the Maryland Register on August 27, 2021 (click here, see pages 718-781). The regulations are in effect on an emergency basis from August 5, 2021 through January 25, 2022.
