AUGUST 2026 SPORTS WAGERING DATA (Excel Download)
(Baltimore) — Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $7,018,667 in contributions to the state during August 2026. Through the first two months of Fiscal Year 2027, sports wagering has generated nearly $15.5 million in state funds.
In August, a total of $5,284,434 went to public education programs supported by the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund. Since the inception of the sports wagering program, $288,727,902 has gone to the Blueprint Fund. Another $1,734,232 in mobile proceeds from August went to the General Fund.
Retail sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund. Mobile sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund and 5% to the state’s General Fund.
Sports bettors in Maryland wagered $465,906,572 during August 2026 and won back $420,652,313 in prizes. Sportsbook operators held 9.7% of the handle.
