Maryland Casinos Generate $136.8 Million During February

Casino gaming revenue contributes $57.1 million to the state

Maryland Lottery and Gaming today announced that February 2019 gaming revenues for the state’s six casinos totaled $136,764,207, a slight increase of $182,927 (0.1%) compared to the February 2018 total of $136,571,280.

Contributions to the State of Maryland from February 2019 casino gaming revenue totaled $57,119,682, including $42,854,177 for the Education Trust Fund. Casino gaming revenues also support local communities and jurisdictions where the six casinos are located, as well as Maryland’s horse racing industry.

Maryland has six privately owned casinos that offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City; Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County; Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.

Four of the six casinos saw year-over-year increases compared to their February 2018 gaming revenue totals:

MGM National Harbor (3,134 slot machines, 198 table games)
$53,931,672 in February 2019, an increase of $818,731 (1.5%) from February 2018.

Live! Casino & Hotel (3,830 slot machines, 197 table games)
$46,045,600 in February 2019, a decrease of $946,605 (-2.0%) from February 2018.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore (2,195 slot machines, 166 table games)
$20,672,034 in February 2019, a decrease of $767,940 (-3.6%) from February 2018.

Hollywood Casino Perryville (822 slot machines, 21 table games)
$6,035,367 in February 2019, an increase of $153,206 (2.6%) from February 2018.

Ocean Downs Casino (892 slot machines, 18 table games)
$5,730,578 in February 2019, an increase of $767,741 (15.5%) from February 2018.

Rocky Gap Casino Resort (665 slot machines, 17 table games)
$4,348,955 in February 2019, an increase of $157,794 (3.8%) from February 2018.
