REVISED FY2024 SPORTS WAGERING DATA (Excel download)
Revision does not change fiscal year contribution to the state
(Baltimore) — Maryland Lottery and Gaming has published revised bets-by-sport figures for Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024).
Sports wagering operators provide bets-by-sport totals each month as part of their regular reporting to Maryland Lottery and Gaming. DraftKings revised its bets-by-sport figures for FY2024 because it overstated the amount wagered on parlay bets from December 2023 through February 2024 due to an internal database issue that incorrectly classified certain wagers as parlays.
The DraftKings revision did not impact the company’s taxable revenue or its contribution to the state. The state’s sports wagering market contributed $60,311,456 to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund during FY2024, and there were $985,862 in expired sports wagering prizes contributed to the state’s Problem Gambling Fund.
A revised version of the final FY2024 sports wagering data chart is available for download from the link above. The operator totals and combined statewide totals on the first tab are unchanged from the data previously reported. The FY2024 totals on the Bets By Sport tab have been updated.
