Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency Executive Staff

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency operates the Maryland Lottery and provides oversight of the state’s six casinos and other ancillary gaming programs. The Agency operates with more than 300 employees and a number of vendor partners in two business lines:

Lottery Division

Lottery employees and vendors operate and oversee the full range of the Maryland Lottery’s functional departments, including marketing, product development, sales, retail network, finance and accounting, systems and information technology, human resources, security, drawings, prize payments, operations, legal, government affairs and public relations.

Gaming and Licensing Divisions

Gaming and Licensing staff have regulatory oversight of Maryland’s six casinos, the State’s sports wagering program and other ancillary gaming programs. Gaming employees ensure that licensed gaming businesses are in compliance with State laws and regulations. Additionally, they monitor, audit and report casino gaming and sports wagering revenues. Licensing staff conduct background investigations required for the licensing of casino and sports wagering operators, employees and vendors.
